The Bytown Dodgers will be piloting a 16U elite team on behalf of NCOBA for 2022!

     What is Elite Baseball?

Teams that participate in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) of the Ontario Baseball Association are AAA teams.  The EBLO was established to provide an alternative to other non-OBA leagues that call themselves elite as well.  The main advantage offered by the OBA’s EBLO teams is a greater amount of playing time as a result of smaller rosters with a lower overall cost relative to other independent programs.  Experienced coaches with NCCP qualification will lead this team, with professional trainers to work with players on batting, pitching, catching and fielding during off-season training sessions.

What will the 16U Elite season include?

  • Strength and conditioning training with Greg Pollock and Gladiator Strength Training (starting late Fall)
  • Winter training (at least two sessions a week)
  • Batting instruction from Seb Boucher (Assistant General Manager Ottawa Titans Baseball Club, former player and hitting coach for the Ottawa Champions).
  • Regular season games in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO)
  • At least 3 AAA tournaments in the summer
  • Two weekly practices and exhibition games (May-Labor Day weekend)
  • Option to attend spring break training program in Florida

Where do I signup for tryouts?
