What does it mean to play in the EBLO?

Teams that participate in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) of the Ontario Baseball Association are AAA teams. The EBLO was established to provide an alternative to other non-OBA leagues that call themselves elite as well. The main advantage offered by the OBA’s EBLO teams is a greater amount of playing time as a result of smaller rosters with a lower overall cost relative to other independent programs. Experienced coaches with NCCP qualification will lead this team, with professional trainers to work with players on batting, pitching, catching and fielding during off-season training sessions. Our program is designed to develop all members of the team through a rigorous training program (~5-6 team activities per week during the off-season) rounded out with plenty of in-game experience (~50 games during the regular season).

What will the Elite season include?

• Fall ball 2 – 3 exhibition games/week, 1 – 2 practices/week and one tournament (September to mid-October)
• Strength and conditioning training with Greg Pollock and Gladiator Strength Training (October to April, at least twice a week)
• Winter training at indoor facilities at least twice a week.
• Batting instruction from Seb Boucher (Assistant General Manager Ottawa Titans Baseball Club, former player and hitting coach for the Ottawa Champions).
• Pitching instruction from Brian Beehler (NCCP and Driveline certified, with >25 years experience in pitching instruction at all levels and ages)
• Regular season games in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO)
• At least 3 showcase tournaments
• Two weekly practices and exhibition games (May-Labor Day weekend)
• Option to attend spring break training program in Florida

Where do I signup for tryouts?

Tryouts will be held on Tuesday July 5th at Trillium park and Wednesday August 10th and 17th at Hamilton Yards, 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm. If you would like to tryout to play on an EBLO team (birth years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) please register here:
